Early systems test / Mechanical integration
ZU-23-2
with ZAP-23.
Anfal’s early systems experimentation connected the ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun assembly, attached optical sight, custom mechanical rig and animation into an Unreal showcase deliverable.

01 / The delivery
A coordinated mechanical assembly.
The production task extended beyond modeling the parts: the assembly needed to move together.
The ZAP-23 sight is rigged and attached to the gun. A custom mechanical rig drives the assembly through deployment, firing, pitch and rotation sequences. Clean and weathered materials provide presentation variants within the same delivery.
This was one of Anfal’s first systems tests: integrating content and mechanical behavior into a usable showcase workflow.
- Assembly
- ZU-23-2 gun + attached ZAP-23 sight
- Motion
- 7 in-place mechanical animation sequences
- Materials
- Separate gun and sight materials; clean and weathered variants
- Delivery
- Unreal package with a lightweight starter-content showcase map; FBX format and overview documentation listed on Fab
02 / Components in context
Sight. Rig. Movement.

Connected movement.
The custom rig and motion clips bring related mechanical parts into a coordinated sequence. The pack’s materials, LODs and showcase scene support presentation and integration.
Early test scope: rigged mechanical motion and showcase delivery. Gameplay input logic, targeting, ballistics and simulation validation are outside this case study’s demonstrated scope.
03 / Motion & configuration
Seven sequences.
One mechanical workflow.
- Deploy
- Fire
- Idle
- Pitch Up
- Pitch Up & Down
- Rotate Left
- Rotate Right
- LOD0 → LOD3
- 81,063 / 49,423 / 26,185 / 15,114 triangles
- Texture options
- 2K and 4K PBR
- Material configuration
- 2 materials + 4 clean/weathered instances
- Collision
- Automatically generated in Unreal, as listed
Package details reflect the published listing. Confirm current engine-version requirements on Fab before integration.
